My name is Simon Bowler. I design websites. This site contains examples of my previous work as a designer and a little bit about me.

05/05/10 - PoliticsHome - General Election
I have just finished creating an interactive map for the general election which PoliticsHome are covering. It allows the user to find information about their constituency and view the UK as a whole.
21/02/10 - PoliticsHome - New website
We are soon to be releasing the new PoliticsHome website. It now has a more user friendly news front page, with the professional 'dashboard' moved behind a login wall. The traffic has been rising and we have heard rumors that David Cameron is using this site.
11/01/09 - Lauren Casey
A friend of mine has asked me to help her out with some artwork and graphics for her website/myspace. Based at the Brighton Institute of modern music, she writes and performs songs about her life, love and relationships.
18/11/08 - Business Lunch
Merton chamber of commerce are putting on another event.
This time its a networking lunch in Mitcham, South West London. It is an excellent chance to talk other business in the area and hopefully build up a good network of useful contacts. See you there!

9/10/08 - SEO Workshop
I have recently attended a SEO workshop. It was a great chance to meet new people and I found the experience very rewarding. I shall be attending more events put on by Merton chamber of commerce

Politics Home
I have been designing content pages for a politics website . The aim of the site is to deliver political news to its users. Some Key features of the site are,
- Updated daily from over 250 sources around the world.
- The first daily polling of both political experts and real voters
- Summarise and transcribe every key political appearance on TV or radio
What have I been up to this week ?
... Creating two CMS driven sites using 
and CMS from 
1. The first is a website for London based rock band, Never the Bride. The site runs on wordpress and includes many features and custom widgets such as,
- Shopping cart system
- Up coming gig calender
- Displaying random Youtube videos
The client also requested that the new design theme was used on there current myspace band page.
Visit the site2. The second website was for Never The Bride's record label, Lock Stock and Barrel Records. The brief was to create a small site that;
- Linked to band websites signed to the label
- To easily update the news section of the site
- Showcase a selection of videos
